Robert joined Sun Life in the North-West in 1969, dealing with pensions’ administration and accounts. He then became a Pensions Consultant, which ultimately led to his expertise in self-administered pension schemes.
His employment at Sun Life coincided with the emergence of pensions for Directors and Sun Life were innovative in providing solutions to the self-administered pension schemes’ (SSAS) market. This expertise has stood Rob in good stead in succeeding years.
From Sun Life, Robert moved on to an actuarial consultancy in Bolton, before setting up a satellite office in Birmingham.
In 1998 Robert set up Pensions Management Limited to offer self-administered pension schemes to clients. Rob’s life IS Pensions Management Limited. He claims that he has no interest or hobbies outside the world of self-administered pension schemes and investments, so as you would expect he holds the Dip PFS qualification.
We all know, however, that he enjoys socialising – particularly over good food and wine!
