Following an initial consultation, we recommended a SSAS was set up with the intention to transfer across property held in a SIPP. The SSAS has 5 Member Trustees as the property was held in equal shares in 5 SIPPs.

The Outcome

Now that the five members have consolidated in to one Scheme, there has been a reduction in costs and there are now lower overall charges for running the one SSAS. This reduction in costs added to the rental income from the property has results in the fund increasing.

“We have been delighted with the reduction in costs and growth in our fund as a result of transferring our property out of a SIPP and into a SSAS.”
